Since last sunday, my family has been hosting a girl from China called Sheng He, she was very sweet and giggly.
It was part of a geography trip type thing at my school so monday and tuesday they were at school, decorating my classroom and having a look at town centre.
On Wednesday myself, the other hosts and helpers, my geography teacher and their principal and translator went to Cambridge. It was brilliant and to make the shopping spree even better it was extra sunny! After Cambridge me, Carrie, Jo and Lauren, took our girls up to Lakeside for dinner and more shopping.
Thursday and Friday they went to London and Thorpe Park, but we couldn't come due to exams. Still, on Friday night we took everyone (except teachers) to the local bowling alley, then to a huge meal at a local restaurant.
It was really lovely having her stay at my house, it was fun teaching her english things and just generally spending time with her.
She bought me and my mother some beautiful things from China, including a proper blue and white china teaset and some silk scarfs.
She left this morning at 7:00am, I'm really going to miss her, me and mum cried when we said goodbye. I hope she had lots of fun staying with us and I can't wait to visit her this time next year at her school, in China.
